​Audition Requirements

• Applicants should have a strong basic classical foundation in relation to their level and age.

• Age Requirements:

  • Preparatory Program:  Ages 9-12
    *Exceptional 8-year-olds may be considered.

  • Pre-Professional Program:  Ages 12-18 
    *Exceptional 11-year-olds may be considered.

• Dancers should audition with the age group that they fall into on the date of the audition.

Audition Process

• Pre-registration online is REQUIRED.

• Register online for your audition. 

• Audition Registration Fee (Non-Refundable): $40 payable via Venmo @ECC-payments *please include applicant name and  audition date/city in payment notes

• Students must upload two recent photos with their audition registration: 

  • ​1st arabesque

  • Tendu a la seconde

  • Video upload is not required for in-person auditions

• Audition dress code:

  • Girls -- solid color leotard, full-length pink or skin-tone tights, ballet slippers, pointe shoes
    *Pointe shoes are not required for students auditioning for the Preparatory Level, though young ladies should bring their pointe shoes if they have begun pointework.

  • Boys -- white or black t-shirts, full-length black tights, ballet slippers​​
