Catherine Livengood Lewellen has been teaching and coaching classical and contemporary ballet for the past 20 years in pre-professional training programs, homeschool training academies, competitive teams and coaching students and small groups towards YAGP and other ballet competitions. As a young dancer, she attended The Harid Conservatory in Florida on full scholarship in their year round program, as well as Booker T Washington High School, where she was in the repertory company and became a YoungArts scholarship recipient. During the summers she trained as a scholarship student at several prestigious schools including American Ballet Theatre, The School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, LINES Contemporary Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre where she joined the company as a trainee in 1997 after graduating two years early at the age of 16. While there Catherine met Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson who invited her to work with Complexions Contemporary Ballet. She also had the pleasure of working with Alonzo King during this time and performing his work. She attended The Juilliard School in 2000 and continued working with Complexions while in NYC. Catherine graduated summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Dallas with a double major in Psychology and Early Childhood Development and holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where she specialized in working with children and adolescents.
In 2013, Catherine was awarded Outstanding Choreographer at Youth America Grand Prix where her classical and contemporary ensembles took first and second place and were invited to the New York City Finals along with some of her other soloists and duos. She has choreographed ensembles that have been performed at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's pre-professional summer program, The Meyerson with Turtle Creek Chorale, Juilliard's Choreography Composition program, Regional Dance America Emerging Choreographers Showcase, Joffrey Ballet School's pre professional trainee program showcase and choreographed and restaged several ballets including La Bayadere, Swan Lake, Coppelia and most recently staged an excerpt of Mercy on Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive students. She has been a master teacher or on faculty at several prominent local schools including Dallas Ballet Center, Prodigy Dance Centre, Dance Industry, Complexions Contemporary Ballet (Dallas Summer Intensive), The Dallas Conservatory, and The Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program in Frisco, TX. Catherine has also coached soloists that have moved on to the Final Round and won the silver medal at YAGP finals in NYC. She has trained, mentored, and coached students that have become Presidential Scholars of the Arts and others who are now in prominent schools and companies all over the world, including The Juilliard School, Los Angeles Ballet, Semperoper Dresden Ballet, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet School, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, USC, SYTYCD, Oklahoma City Ballet, Ballet Austin and Miami City Ballet. Most recently Catherine coached 15 year old student Ava Arbuckle to win the Silver Medal and the Nureyev Young Talent award at the Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland in 2020. She was one of the youngest competitors there and was awarded a full scholarship to further her training year round at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart Germany.
Yearning for artistic freedom to fully train and coach serious ballet students in her own format and method, Catherine founded Elite Classical Coaching in August of 2017. Since then, she has received numerous Outstanding Teacher Awards (YAGP 2018, 2020, WBAC 2017, 2018, 2020, ADCIBC 2019, WBC 2021) and Outstanding Choreographer Awards (WBAC 2017, 2018, 2020, WBC 2018) and ECC was named Outstanding School many times (WBC 2018, YAGP 2019, 2021, ADCIBC 2021). Her students have won the Hope Award (2018, 2019, 2021), the Youth Grand Prix award (2018, 2019, 2021), First place ensembles and pas de Deux, First place JR Male, JR Female, SR Male, and SR Female, Second Place Junior Female at YAGP Finals (2019, 2021), Top 12 Pre-Competitive Female YAGP Finals (2019, 2021), Top 12 Senior Male YAGP Finals (2021), Grand Prix in the Primary Division at ADCIBC (2019, 2021), Grand Prix in the Junior Division at ADCIBC (2021), and three Gold Medals at ADCIBC (2019, 2019, 2021). They also won their divisions at World Ballet Art Competition and were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals in their respective divisions at World Ballet Competition Finals. ECC and select students were sought out and personally invited to audition for NBC's hit show World of Dance. ECC has recently become an international training company with young students relocating from other countries to benefit from Catherine's training, coaching, and mentoring. Her students are being sought after for ambassadorships and to represent products, photographers, and brands such as Jule Dancewear, Nikolay Grishko, The Pointe Shop, Black Swan Brand, and Dallas Dance Project. They have also been invited to perform in international galas around the world and regularly receive scholarships from most of the top schools across the nation for summer programs and year round programs. Some students have already been offered professional contracts for when they graduate or are ready to begin their professional careers.
Catherine and her husband currently reside in Frisco, TX with their three young children.
Mr. Tchernychev was born in Russia, at the age of ten he began his training at Novosibirsk State Ballet Academy. In 1988 as a part of a Russian delegation he participated in International Youth Festival in North Korea. Right after graduation in 1989 Mr. Tchernychev was invited by Y. Grigorovich ( director of Bolshoi Ballet) to join Bolshoi
Ballet Theatre in Moscow. He was working with such distinguished teachers and coaches as Asaf Meserer, Mikhail Lavrovsky, Yuri Vladimirov and Boris Akimov. Mr. Tchernychev performed with Bolshoi Ballet Theatre throughout Russia, England, France, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Egypt, China, Hong-Kong, Japan and the US.
In October of 1993 he was chosen to perform before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Dominion Theatre in London. In December of 1994 at end of touring the US Mr. Tchernychev decided to stay and continue his dancing career in the US. He performed as a principal dancer and guest artist with several ballet companies. He also staged ballets and taught master classes in ballet schools and companies throughout the US. His principal roles included Swan lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Paquita, Romeo and Juliet and Carmina Burana and many ballet and contemporary pieces that was choreographed for him. Critics have praised him for his dancing and its energy and “thrillingly masculine style”, last five years of his dancing career Mr. Tchernychev performed as a principal dancer and a ballet master with San Diego Ballet. In 2001 Mr. Tchernychev founded San Diego Academy of Ballet and began his career as a coach, teacher and choreographer. Two of his students was awarded Tony Award
for their performance as a Billy Elliot in the “Billy Elliot” musical on Broadway. His students are receiving contracts in leading ballet companies, as well as scholarships to a leading world ballet schools. He has been awarded and nationally recognized for his teaching and for his choreography. Mr. Tchernychev have been consulting and collaborating with fashion designers in Russia and in US. In 2016 Mr. Tchernychev founded California Professional Ballet Program in San Diego. This program is developed to give young local students opportunity to learn ballet craft and become professional dancers. He is thrilled to be joining ECC as Ballet Master this year and can’t wait to see where this collaboration leads him.
Brian Stevens is a renowned choreographer and teacher from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Brian currently teaches for Elite Classical Coaching and KJ Dance. Brian has choreographed and taught for ECC for the past 3 years. His choreography has placed in the top 3 numerous times at the Youth America Grand Prix. Previously under his direction, KJ Dance’s pre-professional company has been nationally recognized as New York City Dance Alliance’s National Outstanding Studio. His choreography for large and small groups, solos, duets, and trios have won multiple high scores in the country. His choreography won the 2019 NYCDA National Teen Critic's Choice Award. Under his mentorship Brian has had multiple nationally recognized dancers as well as dancers attending the Julliard School, University of Southern California, Boston Conservatory, New York University, George Mason University, Chapman University and many others. Brian tours the country with the Dupree Dance Convention faculty as a choreographer and instructor. Brian has been the Artistic Director of Wanderlust Dance Project Dallas for 3 years which is "the first and only Non-Profit 501(c)(3) of it's kind, where pre-professionals learn and rehearse from some of the dance industry’s top choreographers, while dancing alongside working professional dancers". The show has been named as one of "Theater Jones Top Ten Dance Performances of 2016”. He is the founder and designer of the internationally recognized costume company, Artistic Dance Designs, which launched in 2013. Brian has taught and mentored for The Joffrey year round trainee program in Frisco, TX for 2 years. He teaches at a number of dance intensives and workshops including Complexions Summer Intensive, North Texas Summer Dance Intensive, Dallas Repertoire Ballet Intensive, Dancers Give Back Dallas, Moving Forward Dallas and Dallas DanceFest. He travels internationally teaching Master classes and setting choreography at studios, schools and professional companies. He most recently had his work performed at the John Cranko Schule Showcase in Stuttgart, Germany and at the Nervi Music Ballet Festival collaboration with YAGP in Genova, Italy.
Originally from Dallas, Texas Adrienne Healy began her dance training at age 2. She competed and trained in the techniques of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and ballroom. In 2013 she was accepted into Booker T Washington Highschool for the Performing and Visual Arts. She was selected to perform with the highest level performance company, Repertory 1, where she learned choreography and new techniques from dancers and companies such as Complexions, Alvin Ailey and Sidra Bell. After 13 years of training in various styles, Adrienne’s love of ballroom drew her to specialize. She moved to New York where she trained with world champions Shirley Ballas, Vibeke Toft Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova. As an active competitor, Adrienne travels nationally and internationally to learn, train, and compete in ballroom. Adrienne is passionate about spreading the knowledge and love of dance to others and hopes to have a lasting impact on the students who attend her class.

Emily has a passion for helping athletes perform their best and achieve their goals. She is a firm believer that strength comes through trials, and that one can excel in their goals, regardless of how big, with the right mindset.
Emily holds a Master of Arts in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology- Exercise Science. She is a professional member of both the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and the American Psychological Association- Division 47 (Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology).
She is a former dancer who focused heavily on ballet, among other disciplines. She was in a pre-professional ballet company for a handful of years, and is married to a former collegiate soccer player. While she loves working with "performing" athletes (i.e., dancers, gymnasts, etc.), she has a huge heart for sharing her experience and knowledge of Mental Coaching with athletes of all sports and levels.
Her vision behind creating Champion Mindset Consulting LLC is to make Mental Coaching services accessible to all athletes.
Starting dance at the late age of 16 and beginning his formal ballet training a year later, Jason Ambrose, of Virginia Beach, VA., began his studies at the Virginia Beach Ballet Academy under the direction of Ana Maria Martinez. He furthered his training at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School where he danced roles in company productions such as Terrance Orr's "The Nutcracker" and Derek Deane's "Alice in Wonderland". He has been accepted into and attended many prestigious year-round and summer programs such as the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and The Kirov Academy of Ballet, all on scholarship. Jason has had the opportunity to study closely with teachers such as Hector Zaraspe, Marina Stavitskaya, Deborah Wingert, Daniel Ulbricht, Andrei Bossov, and the late Peter O'Brian. He is an alumnus of the Ellison Ballet Professional Training Program where he was coached and mentored by master teacher Edward Ellison.
Jason has been recognized as "a rapidly rising choreographic talent”. His work has been featured in the annual Dance Against Cancer Benefit Gala (NYC), the Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition Closing Gala and has been invited to be performed in the Youth America Grand Prix, (YAGP), closing gala in Lincoln Center. He has choreographed for and coached numerous Top Three winners in the YAGP Contemporary and Classical Solo Categories and the 2020 Prix de Lausanne Second Prize Winner. Jason received the 2020 WBAC Grand Prix Outstanding Teacher Award.
As an instructor he has been a guest faculty member and choreographer for the Manhattan Youth Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, Ellison Ballet, Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory, NY, Charlottesville Ballet, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts, Dancers Give Back Dallas, the University of Texas at Austin, Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp, Canadian Dance Company, Dupree Dance Convention, SoulEscape, Elite Classical Coaching, and Adrenaline Dance Convention. Jason worked as Ballet Director for Next Step Dance Performing Arts Center in Frisco, Texas and Canadian Dance Company in Oakville, Ontario. Jason was Resident Choreographer at Ellison Ballet New York, NY and Ballet Master at Elite Classical Coaching in Frisco, TX.
Jason was personally invited by St. Petersburg Conservatory Dean and former Mariinsky (Kirov Ballet) Director, Oleg Vinogradov, to travel to St. Petersburg, Russia as the first African American to enroll in their Ballet Masters and Choreographers Degree Program and to dance with the Ballet Theatre of the St. Petersburg Conservatoire. Jason continues to travel the country, and internationally, as a guest ballet teacher and classical and contemporary choreographer. He is a faculty member at Adrenaline Dance Convention, Artist in Residence at Elite Classical Coaching, and a full time Men’s Teacher at the San Francisco Ballet School.

She’s been training dancers from NDT 2, Martha Graham Dance Company, Ballet BC and ABT Studio Company. Her students have performed with NDT 2 and Complexions. Her choreography was presented at the Joyce Theatre alongside Cedar Lake and Peter Chu. Also, presented work 4 times in festivals such as McCallum Theatre, Tessandra Chavez Unity show and Edge Annual show. She’s on faculty with Revive Dance Convention, Principles ballet summer program and National Dance Honors.
She will be teaching Movement Analysis, which is the isolation within the work that creates integrity and how movement is stemming and awakening from these sources of ideas.
